Helper strips
Make the first steps easier
The Glissopipe is designed to be played by ear and instinct. But when you are just starting out, a little guidance can help. Helper Strips are optional magnetic overlays that attach directly onto the Glissopipe’s ribbon. They stay securely in place and show the positions of notes using colored rings — which you can both see and feel with your fingers.
Each of the 12 notes of the chromatic scale has its own color. Different musical scales are printed on separate strips, including diatonic, pentatonic, melodic minor (in all 12 keys), full chromatic, and special model scales.
Helper Strips make the first steps easier, especially for beginners, children, and music education — while still allowing the Glissopipe to remain an expressive, voice-like instrument guided by listening rather than rules.
